Covid-19 Patient Transport: A Literature Review

The pandemic caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (COVID-19) is tremendously affecting health care services worldwide due to nature of this virus which highly infectious with a high rate transmission. Transmission COVID-19 quickly occurs through close contact, droplet, airborne, and faecal-oral. During prevention containment pandemic, ambulances play an important role in transporting patients. Health workers working are at risk contracting considering ambulance small, confined enclosed compartment. It necessary find safe way patients ambulance. Methods This thesis uses literature review method. By following PRISMA flow diagram, research journals gathered from electronic database Sciencedirect Pubmed performing keyword searches. results then sorted based on predefined inclusion criteria. Nine original obtained reviewed. Results we found variety control measures that can be applied safely. These categorised using Control Hierarchy approach includes elimination, engineering control, administrative usage personal protective equipment (PPE). Conclusion transportation carried out safely strictly adhering certain protocols categorized review.
